Each piece features a deep reduction copper-red Oxblood glaze, layered with Tenmoku to create rich depth and movement. The clay body contains natural iron flecks that break through the surface as subtle dark brown specks, enhancing the character of each piece. Some works retain pronounced throwing marks, which I value for the chiaroscuro they create—light and shadow moving across the form. These marks serve as the potter’s fingerprint, capturing the speed and rhythm of wheel and hand working together.
